BIG BIG problem engine start smoke
HI guys HELP please .I'll try to explain what happened . Yesterday my thermostat stuck and my engine overheat .. we cooled engine and after start engine start smoke working not well on free run is 500-600 rpm. smokes is grey color
Re: BIG BIG problem engine start smoke
So on tickover it is running between 500 / 600 rpm?
is it missing on tickover?
Check the spark plugs see if they are fouled with oil. Check inside the coolant cap for any signs of white sludge.
It is possible that a gasget has gone during the over heating.
how quickly did you stop the car on realising it was over heating?

After a few miles?
Most people stop immediately they see the gauge in the red.
Fully expect the head gasket to be blown.

Re: BIG BIG problem engine start smoke

I'm not sure how much I drive with full temperature. from the last look. when it was normal. and when it was max. The distance is about 2 miles

Just a gauge in front of you.
Re: BIG BIG problem engine start smoke
sounds like a blown headgasket to me. next time learn to look down at the fuel gauge and other dash gauges every so often...... maybe even the speedo if it takes your fancy. but in the mean time, its a hard lesson learned
