Play in drivers seat backrest

As title, have play (front to rear) in drivers seat backrest, about an inch or so.

Can't remember if it's always been like that, passengers seat doesn't do it.

Any ideas?

The passenger doesnt have a backrest adjuster whereas the driver seat probably does, i know any mr2 ive been in has had drivers adjustable so that could be the reason?
