Re: polycarbonate engine cover
If it helps, the greater crime would be the polycarbonate engine lid.

Re: polycarbonate engine cover
I don't see my wheels as a "lesser" crime though, in my opinion Borbets are a beautiful period wheel that really work on my car, and the majority of people agree.
Quite why the idea of a perspex engine lid is being compared to my wheels is totally beyond me.
Baffled.

Re: polycarbonate engine cover
You said it's not to your taste and you think they are awful and I was just saying I think borbets are mingmong and that's my opinion
Re: polycarbonate engine cover
I don't like crunchy nut cornflakes
there I've said it
would a car with Borbet wheels and a see through engine lid after a breakfast of said nutty cornflake ruin my life?
NO!*
*Other lesser criminal opinions do I believe exist!

Re: polycarbonate engine cover
LOL!
Borbet wheels are not a crime. Sorry for likening it to a plastic engine cover. I didn't start it.

Your opinion of my wheels is not important to me, i built my car for me, just like my opinion of your see through engine lid idea should not bother you.
But clearly it does.
Who has the problem?
Re: polycarbonate engine cover
Perspex wheels would be cool because then you could show off stuff like bright red calipers and groovy grooved discs.

Re: polycarbonate engine cover
You just made my irrelevant wheels relevant to the topic lol
Perhaps a perspex lid would be good, then you could tell at a glance if your oil cap is screwed on or not.

Re: polycarbonate engine cover
Just thought it could be different and a weight loss exercise as well.
I have left the oil cap off before so that's a valid point

Just as well then
Re: polycarbonate engine cover
A polycarbonate rear window like this one would be OK but you would probably want to cut some vents into it like the RS200 or the Lancia 037
