Was in my Asda and whist browsing mags I saw a little Mk1 on the from cover,
There is a nice three page article about how this is the best time to buy one because
Prices have been rock bottom for a while which is seemingly due to end.
Worth a read.

I'm not convinced prices will rise anytime soon, if ever tbh. They will only increase in value when they become rare, which will be a very long time and even then I can't see them being sought after really.
Exceptional cars will always command exceptional prices, but that is not news really.
The lack of any motorsport heritage is the killer reason here, I think.

I've been reading articles for years stating Mk1 values 'are set to rise'
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

But, that's not all bad. If prices remain low, the cars remain cheap to run and you don't have to pay AE86 tax, (which when you think about is still not in the realms of serious classic money really) which means cheaper running costs.
