[Mk2] [Turbo] Advice needed identifying engine oil leaks

Post by sky-net »

Hi

I want to get rid of two oil leaks i'm trying to identify and i'd need some of your valuable feedback

- The first one appears to be coming out from the distributor
Youtube

I've got some time ago a MR2 3SGTE II/III distributor seal repair kit. Should this kit be suitable to fix this leak?

- I find this one a bit weird... As it seems to come from the intake

Valvecover gasket was changed last year... Maybe a worn headgasket could be the reason?

Many thanks! ;)

Thanks for your reply! :thumleft:

Dizzy leak seems to be easier to identify. I'll watch carefully the headgasket seal... As it was replaced last year.

I had a problem with my cam seals recently... only it wasn't the cam seal, it was some numpty hadn't done up the bolt holding the cover on and it was loose and rattling about! Suggestion - check all bolts are tight if the seals are new.
