[Mk2] [Turbo] What tool do you use to tighten Arp head nuts?

Post by chaos19810 »

Hi I've just gone to put my head back on and none of my 1/2 drive deep sockets will fit into the gaps for the Arp head nuts? I was wondering what tools you use to fit them? I currently have the cams in place. But even with them out the socket seems to wide?

Any ideas or links to tools I need?

Thanks

Andy

You can't get at the O/S rear-most head nut properly with the inlet cam in place.

You'll need a 12 point thin wall deep socket.

I know I'm asking a lot but any idea where I can get one from? I'm finding hard to find a specific thin walled version. I've ordered a 12mm 3/8 drive and a 12mm snap on 1/4 drive but can't seem to find a thin walled version

PM slipping_clutch - Martin.

I think he got one from Halfords. You'll need it in 3/8" drive.
