Hi,
I thought I'd put up a quick intro post to say 'hi'. I'm a mod over at ROC and I know the Mk2 has a much bigger following on here than the Mk3 but even so, I felt I should probably sign up and share some MR2 love.
A quick overview of my car...
- 2003 Sable roadster
- Black leather/aircon
- Hard top
- TTE exhaust
- TTE style inlet pipe
- K&N panel filter
- Decatted stock manifold
- CRW spherical shifter bearings
- Bigfoot cage bushings
- A few tweaks to the exterior/interior
Short-term plans for the future is braided lines, some bracing, lowering springs and an induction kit. Long-term I may look at putting in a turbo or a V6 conversion (but probably not for another year or so at the earliest).
I'll get some photos up when I'm able to post them.
I use it every day as my main car but also enjoy trips out into North Wales or the Lakes, and intend on throwing it around a track next year (did a session at Oulton this year which was great).
Anyway, that's about it. Look forward to chatting.

Re: AndyM's roadster
i'd love to have a turbo roadster!! welcome to the club mate, you need 15 posts to be able to put up pics,
Re: AndyM's roadster
Sounds nice, you got any plans for it in the future- or just to drive and enjoy as it is?
Re: AndyM's roadster
Cheers.
Sheppy, definitely. Haven't driven one yet myself (a friend from ROC told me to never drive one until you can afford to do it, otherwise it spoils the enjoyment of the stock car).
Ashley, we'll see. Other than the short-term mods above I'll be just enjoying it NA for the next year or so as it's the car I use for work. Got a wedding in 2014 and possibly a family sometime after that so I need to keep an eye on my budget a bit. In an ideal world I'll buy something sensible alongside it and keep the roadster as a bit of a weekend fun/track car. Perhaps with a turbo or V6 conversion (or even a 2zz)... I'll need to weigh it all up.

Re: AndyM's roadster
Welcome come IMOC. MK3's have been growing on me a bit. A 2ZZ Conversion would be EPIC, maybe with a turbo added?
Re: AndyM's roadster
Thanks for the warm welcomes
I agree. I have daydreamed about a mk3 with a supercharged 2zz in (like the Elise/Exige S) too. Engine bay space is a bit of a challenge but I think Rotorex do/did a supercharger kit for 2zz roadsters. Big money though.
