I too have tried both ball race and poly uprated shift bbearings and found the poly ones noticeably better because of the slight amount of give.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Where did you get the poly bushes for the shift cables? I have brass bushes fitted and it is hard to get reverse and go from 5th to 4th, the stock bushes were fine but fell apart when I took the cables off.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

I too would like to know.
I have the brass bearings with the TRD short shifter but a steadily deteriorating throw and would welcome the experiment.
Also
does anyone know if the can brass be replenished?
