[Mk2] [Turbo] Superflex / superpro polybush kit

Post by Rossi »

I've decided on this polybush kit, superpro/superflex are identical as far as I can tell with even the part numbers almost identical on both of their websites. I'm about 5mins from ordering but I'm struggling with the rear control arm to chassis bush.

Apparently my 1994 uses a 12mm bolt for the rear control arm but they only sell a rear bush for the earlier cars with a 14mm bolt show here.

Does anyone know if the bush for the front control arm which is 12mm is the same fitment as the rear on the later cars.

I don't want to have to order a full superpro kit but a powerflex rear control arm bush as powerflex offer the rear in both 14 and 12mm.

Cheers
Mike

I've sold 100s of ProThane chassis bush kits with no options for any of the control arm bolts. :?

Look here then, there's 2 options 12mm and 14mm? Confused now

PFR76-305 fits Rev 1&2 models 1989 to 1992 and uses a M14 bolt

Rev 3 models 1993 to 2000 use PFR76-305-12 which uses an M12 bolt

Well I am.
If you've only sold one type of bush kit but the bushes differ after 93 on the rear then that makes no sense.

Nevermind I'll just go with the powerflex rear bush

Let me see if i can make things clear for you, and show you the website you refer to is b0ll0x.

Here's a screen print from Toyota's EPC showing the rear control arm and rear tie bar bolts:

Image

It shows two M14 bolts required, that will be one for each control arm. It also shows four M12 bolts, two for each tie bar. In both cases, the same bolts are used on all cars from 1989. No options of any sort.

So you can now be unconfused like me.

Thanks that was all I was asking. If you had simply said all mr2s use 14mm rear control arm bolts in your first post I would have accepted it, but your reply didn't really make it clear what they were apart from that the prothane kits you sell, fit.
