Ok, so i'm having my border front end fitted next week, i've thought of a few options for mounting the front plate but would like to see some other ideas, so let's see what you have
whoops, i forgot, i'm also retaining the front fogs, so if you have any opinions on that, please share.
Ryan.

Mine was here all the time I had the car
Police inspected the plate a few times but never mentioned its position but did mention the wipers position

ooooh, that looks good, oddly, the border bumper i have also has the 2 bars, i am having them removed and the holes filled though, i may change my mind. i did have a wee look on google, just wondering what the guys in the club reckon, a lot of the ones i found on google didn't actually have number plates at all.

I played with a lot of different options, the 2nd best was an import number plate mount in the very front middle of the bumper. Everything else looked odd "in my opinion"

looks great man, i could be into doing this, also, where did you get the canards?? i've seen these a few times on the border now, are they generic, or specific to the border??
Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Show me your border bumper!!!
Standard import number plate holder mounted on the border
Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Show me your border bumper!!!
^^ that's what I'd go for. I have a Bomex front and use the stock import plate holder on it.

hmmm, that does look good too, i would have to get myself a square plate, which is fine as i'm not keen on my current plate anyway

i'm beginning to think it doesn't matter where the number plate goes haha, they all look good!!
Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Show me your border bumper!!!

The canards are just universal fitting ones, bit marmite to be honest but I like the aggressive look. Doubt they actually do any benefit but you never know

Is that just a regular size UK plate? That actually looks better than square!

I mounted mine like below.
How I did it, along with how I made a flat undertray and speed flaps (well worth the work!) can be found on this page and the following page
