Hey guys,
Just wondering if any of you have a standard bodywork red rev 3 with yellow front fog lights? I need a new pair of fog lights but I don't know whether to go for yellow fogs or to go clear again.
Failing that is there anyone who could photoshop a pic of my car with yellow fog lights please?
Since you'll never be using them unless it's reduced visability through fog and/or rain (they're no good as driving lights), then why not consider which colour might be most effective when being used?
It is generally accepted that yellow light gives off less glare from fog and rain.
If you're not sure, get clear lamps and buy yellow 3000K bulbs.
I never use my front fogs peter, so it would be purely aesthetics. I've seen Hondas with yellow lenses and a few different coloured mr2s with the same but never a standard red rev 3.
Lol I did Google it but I'm looking for just a red rev3 with the yellow lenses fog lights switched off. sorry I didn't mention before.
As I say my front fogs are never used so it's only the lenses I'm interested in.
If you're only after the yellow lenses then you can either use a tinting sheet off ebay to mod your exisitng clear ones to make them yellow or look at buying something much more expensive - OEM replacment yellow lense fog lights (link below) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90-99-Toyota-MR2-Cry ... 58a8846ea1
The OEM replacments are the best way to go but are very expensive for what they are. If you're unsure about how easy the light tingting film is to use, then buy a second hand pair of standard rev 3+ front fog lights and use them as a test base for tinting, if they work out and your happy with them then simply swap them with your exisitng clear ones.

Some years ago I've sold (used!) mint set clear ones for 75,-.
So don't think those Ebay (new) prices are that bad.

Wouldn't use yellow lenses on a red car.
Yellow bulbs is OK.

I completely agree with you, it does make you question the quality of them if you don't know who made them, but they are usually better quality than if you attempt to tint them yourself with no experience of the job.
And I also agree with you saying no yellow lenses on a red car, it just doesn't work. I think they look nice on black or white mr2's but not the red ones.

Completely agree - I'm not a fan of yellow on red... It's not a good look IMO.
The yellow fog lights on MR2s did not have yellow outer lenses. They had yellow glass inside the light units around the bulbs making the yellow effect a lot less obvious.
