Hi all,
Wondering if anyone could help me out with some friendly advice...
Took my pride and joy for a spin the other day and at full boost experienced a very odd fuel or maybe spark cut followed by the engine management light appearing on the dashboard.
She's a rev 3 turbo with pretty usual engine mods including intake, st205 chargecooler, blowoff valve, downpipe and exhaust. Engine internals are stock as is turbo and boost pressure never been fiddled with.
Looking into some technical data and being fairly competent with my tools I drew off the ecu fault codes:
34 - Boost pressure
47 - Secondary throttle position sensor
Now only a few years ago I had the 47 code problem, replaced the throttle position sensor and hey presto fixed!! At that time there was no problem with boost and no 34 code. Is it possible that the 34 code this time caused the 47 code when it decided to cut fuel or spark in fear of possible over boost?
Also for all those of you mechanically/electronically minded out there what would be the best route for diagnosing my code 34 boost pressure problem?
Thanks in advance for any feedback shared...
