Hello I know what fuel cut feels like in these hitting a wall and engine light briefly shows up

Quite likely, boost spike above ecu max. But iirc (from my gt4) car would go into limp mode temporarily. Was it ok for rest of drive?

Yes it was ok for the rest of the drive, these don't have limp mode like the gt4 ecu's I was worried it coulda been something like the impela fan hitting the turbo housing wall
