cutting out problems
Having issues with my 1992 n/a rev2 import at the moment the old car is sometimes having bother starting when it's raining or cold. But then dos start to sometimes in these conditions but then when driving it will then sometimes just decide to cut out altogether. Any 1 got any ideas on the problem I AM having cheers kevin

I'd start at the basics - check the spark plugs, HT leads etc...
My initial thoughts are that it's either a poor spark or there's water ingress into the ignition system when it rains heavily
Have you changed any parts of the ignition system?
Played around in the engine bay at all before these faults happened?
I would also check that your earths are all in good order whilst your having a play around in the engine bay as having decent earth connections can only help

99% distributor cap or coil related.
When was the cap and arm last replaced? Is the seal between cap and distributor present?
Check the coil for cracks in the plastic body.

car problems
cheers guys I haven't changed any parts in the bay at all in anyway so think its needing to go get a good look at to see what the issue is. everything all seems to be in place properly too any ideas of anywhere in and around edinburgh area that is well known with mr2s???? cheers kevin

As peter says my bet would be coil, I had the same issues with my rev 3. Won't hurt replacing the cap and arm aswell though.
