Rear anti roll bar bushes the wrong size?

Hi,

have a rev 1 turbo and it failed the MOT on rotten rear anti roll bar bushes.

I was assured by mr2 ben and camskill that for a rev 1 turbo there is only one size, the 20mm kit. The bar however is 22-23mm thick.

Is this the right size?

Do they just clamp down anyway?

Or do I need a special kit with a bigger diameter?

Any help appreciated.

After some digging it seems I have the TRD anti roll bar... bonus!

but this is 22.2mm and thus mine don't fit!

Anyone confirm this?

The trd bars are 22mm, also they are usualy white. Powerflex do replacement bushes and I think fensport have the trd bushes still.

Well it's certainly not white.

It looks like it was factory fitted.

The rev 1 I have has aircon so maybe a nicer one. It may have a diff too, I need to check.

Toyota never fitted 20mm ARBs to any MR2.

SW20 was fitted with either 17mm, 18mm or 19mm ARBs.

22mm will be TRD, or latterly, UltraRacing.

Nice, well it seems it's 220 quids worth of kit so a massive bonus either way!!

Managed to source it from Fensport.

Hopefully it fits.
