It Passed finally!!

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

Yippie! The car passed the emissions finally!

We adjusted the timing and it is still marginally out but it passed at 2.465% opposed to 3.661%

We also adjusted the TPS, 3 out of 4 values are correct, except we couldn't get the reading 0.59mm on the throttle to fall within tolerances.

It feels a bit jerky when you go on and come off of the throttle for some reason, but i'm glad it's finally passed :)

Check the engine torque mounts - if they're knackered it could explain the jerkiness :-k

What's it like then chief?
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Well unfortunately I was stuck behind cars doing 30 last night when I dropped it off, but am taxing it online in a minute so will be using it tonight.

I haven't got round to fitting the n/s/r skirt triangle but who cares :)

I've got to be easy on it since it's only covered 28.5 miles since the rebuild. But it feels responsive :)

I'm now taxed :)

It feels very lively at 3k rpm in 4th - is that normal?
