With headwork, a better inlet and WI, I would expect 450-500bhp to be relatively reliable on a freshly-built stock 3SGTE bottom end. The issue was having to force 2.3 bar through the engine in order to get the most out of the turbo.

One thing it does show, adding to the results that T.F.S attained, is that the paper head gasket is definitely not a weak point. It was a nasty rusty mess in the waterways as well. A very unloved engine

Scoop in the boot floor and a massive electric fan. Wasn't enough for the boost required to make the power though. Fine up to 2 bar, but after that, IAT just soared.

That you going to rebuild now with forged pistons etc or just replace?
