It's a Westfield SEI, which was built for racing and apparently still (or did up until recently) holds a couple of sprint records. It runs a heavily tuned 2l Fiat Twin Cam engine by Newark engines, Competition Vernier cams, Yamaha R1 carbs (correctly jetted, apparently) producing around 200bhp. Fiat five speed gearbox with great ratios, oil cooler, high ratio 2.4 rack, independent rear suspension, front wide track kit, anti roll bars front and rear, LSD, Federal RSR track day tyres, stainless steel bespoke headers and system, cable and hydraulic handbrake. Plumbed fire extinguisher, Digi Dash, msa isolator switch, push button start etc.

The drive back last night was awesome! Compete sensory overload, what with the wind, noise, exposure to everything around, small things hitting you (some painful! ) etc. I'd liken the sensation to seeing something in real life as opposed to watching it on it. You're right out there with the smells, temperature changes etc.

These things are so pointy to drive and the grip is insane! That old Fiat engine makes a great noise, a little like an old aeroplane, bags of torque too. Very much looking forward to getting it on a track, as that's the main reason I bought it.

Will it be the forever car? Probably not, as I'll eventually miss the brute power of a big power blown engine. When that happens I'll be on the prowl for Mule 4 Until then though it's all about Mule 3

Oh wow... ive only just spied the pictures. Ill be totally honest when I say that these kind of cars are not really my thing looks wise, but this has changed all that for me.. I genuinely haven't seen a westfield that looks this good. I can see why you bought this now.

Seriously the car looks stunning the more I look into these the more I want one and relise what a good deal you got.

I had a couple of hours free this morning before I have to head off to a wedding (not mine ), so thought I'd grab some engine shots and a cheeky video. Turns out the mic of the camera doesn't like loud noises, so the audio isn't the best

looks very interesting and a lot of fun. 8v lampredi twincam engine you will be hearing a lot about guy croft now i suspect.

200hp is a bit optimistic, the 16 valve turbo this evolved into was 200hp.
the 8v turbo was 165-185hp,

although with the weight im sure it will be bloody quick either way

Very nice Phil. Looked at building one of these a few years ago bug lack of dry storage made me change my mind.
Epic cars though, about as close to driving a single seater as your going to get on the road for sensible money.
Look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
