Anyone know this tubby (on PistonHeads)?

Post by muckyman »

Hi all
just wondering if anyone knows this particular car or has any opinions on it? Seems a reasonable price for a Rev4 turbo to me. Seller says hes a member on here also.

Im sure this is a car that was on PH a few months ago, i was going to have a look but mines came up instead. Gearbox put me off otherwise i would have went to look at it first.

That's a rev3 turbo. No pass. side air bag and it has no side repeaters in the wings.

Looks smart though.

You sure Craig? P reg is 01 August 1996 - 31 July 1997 so presuming the DVLA didn't balls it up (their records say manufactured 1996) I think 06/1996 onwards is Rev4! Passenger side airbag was only standard in Rev5 wasn't it?

Indeed does look like the car for sale only a couple of months ago, maybe 3-4 at best.
Short period of time to own it IMO.

Doesn't matter what reg it's on, it's clearly a rev3 as per Reds comments.

Does look great in pics thou.

I wouldn't be put off if its a GTS.
I had a rev 2 GTS and it had nearly every option extra on the car.
Very tidy example I think it's worth the asking price. =P~

Air bag on pass. side was standard on import rev 4/5 cars.

It was never available on UK cars.

i've never had a t-top. 4 mr2's and have all been t-bars. i do think the tin tops look cleaner but when the t-bars are off in the summer you just can't beat it :)
