A few stragglers from the Le Mans photo album. These were taken by Frank, who was Nick's co-pilot in the Monte.

"Tunnel!" We did make some noise in there! :D

Love this shot! It gives you the sense of scale of the terrain you're navigating. That tiny little road carved into the side of the mountain is all that nature allows out there.

And so chapter (MR)2 ends. Yesterday Mark (the new owner) came and collected old Muley and after some time chatting drove off into the sunset, ending what's been one hell of a ride. As such I thought it only fitting to put together a post with just a few of the highlights along the way...

The beginning

And finally.......... the end :(

I wanted to say thanks to all the people who have helped me along the way. I started this journey with only a basic level of knowledge and if it wasn't for the help and time of so many people on here it would have been a hard hard journey. I've also made some great friends along the way, friends who I hope to have in my life for some time to come :) Also thanks to everyone who've followed along on the journey. I hope it's not been too abstract

So where do I go from here? Well, this isn't the end, far from it. It might be the end of a chapter but there's a long long story ahead. One which I'd like to keep sharing here, so long as people don't get sick of seeing non-MR2 pictures (many of them no doubt  )? I'll still be every bit as active on here as I was before. There's far too many build threads I'm glued to! :D

So I guess that's it for this chapter... I'll leave it with a photo and a wish of godspeed to Mule 2, you were quite some machine

It seemed only fitting and I did actually get a little bit choked up when I read over it once complete. Must be mellowing in my old age

The End ? ( I think not - somehow Phil I think ether the new owner will pop up on here and mule 2's legend will continue or you'll be back with another "no holds barred" MR2)
Certainly a fitting tribute to a great car and a decent bloke as well. Keep in touch Phil :thumleft:

Thanks Martin :)

It's the end of my MR2 journey, however the lady in my life has expressed (too many times) how much she'd like something for herself, so we'll see.

Mule 3 is very much in the pipeline, with auditions taking place at the moment. The difficult decision is what to get, as there's soooo many makes and models to choose from. The candidates are all completely different too, which is proving interesting and overwhelming at the same time.

Rest assured whatever comes next will be shared with you all :thumleft:
