Just a heads up. Bought an alternator from this chap on the 8th of July. There has since been no delivery, and no communication. He has logged twice on to read my PMs, but never responds.

Take heed.

There must be a reason. It's not like he only has a few posts.

Doesn't seem a really nice guy according to some of his replies.

I bought a set of wheels from him with half decent tread although one had a puncture which I wasn't made aware of.

Hopefully this gets sorted soon although I've not seen any reasons for the delays :(

Fingers crossed :)

I'm having trouble with him as well, not replying to pm's and emails finally tracked him down on twobrutal( thanks to Olly :thumleft: ), was expecting a refund at the weekend after 6 weeks but it hasn't come yet, so more pm's send and finally he asked for my paypal address again this morning but no money has been transfered yet, and he's been active on twobrutal so he can't say he's no internet access.

My advice would be payment on collection only

I've asked Karl to contact anyone who is waiting, he has said this has been done.

Can you all please confirm in this thread if you have been contacted and what is happening with regards to parts arriving and refunds being issued

Thanks

Got a reply today along the lines of "It was sent using X so should have arrived by now."

Getting close to writing this off.

Yes, as a gift unfortunately. That's what I get for giving people the benefit of the doubt, and doing them a favour to save them a measly £2.

Ok, thanks.

There is only so much IMOC can do in situations like this, it is 'buyer beware'. Unfortunately we have to rely on the honestly of our members.

Hopefully this can be resolved though.

Karl is not allowed any further sales via IMOC-UK until this is resolved and he is aware of this.

If there are any updates please post on this thread or PM me.

Please also bare in mind (sorry do not mean to lecture anyone) paying for parts in person on collection or using paypal non gift payment will prevent this sort of thing happening or will see you money back.

Thanks

I have offered to nip over if someone can pass me his number (It's on my old phone which is now broken) I'm happy to try and help by collecting things if they'll fit in a MR2 if it helps resolve any issues and Karl is willing to allow this to take place etc

Well apparently the items have been shipped, yet he doesn't have a tracking number for the courier used.

If the items have been shipped, and they've all magically disappeared, then the courier should be contacted for compensation.

It doesn't help that Karl is being oddly evasive.

Buyer beware, yes. As long as nobody else sends payment until this is resolved.

It would be easier if he just answered the messages himself? Maybe that's a discussion someone could have with him?

Yes, been there, done that.

REPLY:

Karl,

bad luck aside, you do need to communicate with the people who have paid you. There is no excuse for that.

Please just let me know when this is all sorted. Please contact everyone who is waiting.

Thanks
