[Mk2] [Turbo] Best method for engine removal/refitting

Head gasket has gone (Rev 2), have a rebuilt engine (with steel gasket) so just going to swap whole thing.

Is it best to drop engine out the bottom? (that's how I did it on my old GT4s)

If so should I take out suspension/wheels with it or disconnect drive shafts?

Have tried searching but can only find info on V6 ect swaps

very tight to get it out of the top so out the bottom is the easiest way by far
