We've been replacing the control arms on my Rev 2 Turbo with newer polybushed arms.

The rear left came off fine but the rear right has been a pig

- the front subframe bolt is seized onto the subframe very badly.

We managed to get the nut off with some persuasion but the bolt is still locked in place and refusing to budge.

I'm guessing the bolt's threads have locked onto the interior of the bush, which is acting as a secondary type of nut, and suspect the best solution is to burn off the bushes and heat the interior metal washers until they expand enough for the bolt to be freed.

Does this sound like the most likely thing for the bolt to be seized on

(and if so am I doing the right thing by setting fire to the old bushing), or is there an alternative cause I should be looking for?
