You can go up to 264s on the stock ECU, so you should have no problems with those.

Mind you the lift is high compared to the equivalent HKS that I have.

I looked at the camshafts available from Toda, HKS, Tomei etc then the AE86 boys spoke about Cat Cams, Kamikaze Racing and TED Components.

After speaking with the UK supplier of Cat Cams I decided to go with them. Got a helpful 10% discount as well :D

Regarding the duration, I know they are 260 and I read where even 272 have been used on the stock ECU but as I may have idling issues I decided 260 was enough.

I could have been really safe and gone with the 252/244 but my ones are the same price...so in the back of my mind I'd be thinking about what power/torque i'd be missing out on if I went on the safe option.

Oh don't worry about that Peter i'll be posting up an image of the dyno run i'll be having done :thumleft:

Don't know if it'll be ready in time for the Silverstone Classic though as I'm not sure the running in mileage should be done going to a car show

I think you will get a great result from the dyno power run Alex! will be really nice to drive with all that hard work you have done. :)

I may have an engine dyno done so I can have accurate readout of what it's actually producing.

Chaps on AE86.org made 169.9hp at the flywheel using the same setup, but they have better air flow being front mounted- so anything near that is possible.

It will certainly be interesting to see the results.

I'm running 264/256 HKS. No idea on power output though as with a faulty injector before it went last time it made 132bhp.

I expect the fully rebuilt engine with a healthy injector to make a little more.
