top mounts

i was replacing a drop link today only to find that the top mount has had it. can I just replace one side or is it best to do both sides ?

You can of course just replace one side but on the assumption they're originally a pair the other may not be far off needing replacement too. If you do both you have a more even refreshment, peace of mind, cheaper labour doing the two together (if you're paying) as well as saving on things like postage etc. If it were me I'd be doing both. Factory parts or uprated TRD which I believe are cheaper. Try Fensport or Rogue for them.
Whilst doing 'em check everyting else first as it's a good opportunity to replace rusty spring cups, the little rubbers that go underneath (for noise suppression I think) and anything else that looks or feels worn.

KYB make top mounts at around £55 each. OEM quality and the bearings are sealed for life, not open like OEM.
