I've never seen the two phrases used together.

Bottom end of the market will reward you with nothing more than the usual paddy field quality and longterm reliability.

Buy some 2nd hand konis and springs off someone.

Shelve the idea of cheap coilovers it will be a disaster. Cheap coilovers are still not that 'cheap' anyway.

I have two front ARBs on my GT6, connected together with short arms :)

You can fit an 18mm roll bar off a mk2 for an upgrade.

I think someone on here has used coilovers from an mx5, but even then fab work was required for them to fit and they weren't cheap.

If you want to buy new suspension for your mk1 dont buy cheap stuff.

Sam (Boondougal) used MX5 coilovers with modified Mk1 suspension legs & did a writeup on here

Paul Woods originally invented the conversion & Sam said he copied Paul's ideas

Under £650 in fact :-k

BC coilovers are well thought of but £100 or so more

I'd have the BC coilovers any day of the week if I didn't have my koni's

I did a bit of research on those D2s and there have been mostly good reviews from Civic, Evo and WRX forums.

Jury is still out on the whole but they seem like a growing brand that are cheap at the moment but only because they don't have much of a reputation.

I might get a set myself as my standard suspension is knackered and replacing it would cost roughly £400, seems silly to not hold out a bit longer and go for coilovers if I can afford it.

D2 is the same bull.... as K Sport: Cheap China stuff. Always the same dampers for every car, brake line brackets You´ll have to fabricate out of universal parts and often fitting problems.

The brake kits are even more worse...

I don't know, they have a growing reputation in Australia apparently and all the reviews on the various owners forums I've found have been pretty much all positive.

They also (apparently) manufacture everything themselves, including springs.

Shame there's no reviews from a more reputable source like a car mag or similar.
