[Mk2] [Turbo] Droplinks change

Post by andy585 »

Started to renew my droplinks today I managed to get the drivers side front off no problem and fitted the new one here's the thing I used a 14mm spanner to get the old ones off then has to use a 17mm on the new ones I also had to use another car jack to help me line up the droplink to the bottom hole

I will have a go at the other 3 tomoro when the rain clears

Any handy hints or info please share

Thanks

Yes, jack up both sides of the car at the same time then you should find lining them up easier I.e. no jack required to compress roll bar as it won't be under tension.

I think angle grinder / dremel is a necessity for dealing with old ones generally.
