Immaculate Modestly Modified Rev 4 Turbo T-bar with Work VS-XX

Post by Leon. »

After 9 years of MR2 ownership and much deliberation I have decided to sell up. I absolutely love the car but I don’t have the passion I used to have so would like the car to go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have. Many on here know me and can vouch for how I look after my cars, including some of the affiliates. So, here are the details, please only get in touch with genuine offers, thanks. Leon.

Please note, I'm not interested in p/x and I don't want to break it.

OVERVIEW

Rev 4 turbo engine (1996) in a rev 4 UK T-bar chassis (1998)
13 months MOT
11 months tax
Engine mileage 80,500, chassis mileage 79,000
Standard body work in excellent condition, no dents or marks to speak of
Factory leather seats and door cards in excellent condition (slight wear on driver’s bolster as usual)
T-bar seals in excellent order
Bodywork colour is Azure blue

I’ve never once had an issue with the engine conversion which was carried out 4 years ago by 3S in April 2009
Engine always starts first time straight away
No mechanical or electrical issues at all
No problems with the gearbox
Never had any smoke except for unburnt fuel!
I am religious with the warm up/spool down process

I’ve serviced this car regularly with oil, filter and spark plug changes every 3-5k miles using the best parts – Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 oil (fully synthetic ester based oil), Toyota oil filters and NGK BKR7EVX platinum plugs. I have also done gearbox oil and coolant changes every ~10k miles.

The car has been garaged every day of my ownership.

That is very nice... I said I was done with MR2s, and in the process of selling all the parts I had accumulated, but this is the sort of car that would keep me... 8)

That's a beaut! I've sent your advert to a couple of friends.

Out of interest, where did you source the hydraulic strut for the engine lid and did it require any modification or did it just bolt straight on?

Thanks chap 8)

The strut was from KO Racing, straight fit with supplied brackets. They're an affiliate on here...
