Newbie from scotland (pics now up)

Hello all just got my second mr2 it is a red rev2 tubby for 500 not been out in it and the head gasket is gone have basic mech skills so going to rebuild the car ground all all mechanical and electrical then I will star looking into the body work and rims seeing al the projects on here and how run down some of your cars were am looking forward to get mine underway

Welcome bud. Guy called Jimi in Glenrothes with the nicest mk1 you have ever seen haha, master at all things electrical. Fimmo as well in Kirkcaldy!

I think your're well enough placed if you're from the Kingdom / Central belt. There seems to be plenty MK1's and 2's around there.

Post up some pics when you can. If you only got it for £500 then that's allot of car for the money if it's only the HG gone, Make sure you get it all checked and do everything as a precaution, not like it cost you much so far anyway.

Thanks for all the comments I've had a good look round it and seems great but gona change oil and water pump and give the engine a good clean up and seal hir up

It's going great my m8 owns hir and all the bonnet door and windscreen are all done looks great now al try and get a pic for you have you got a new 2 yet?

Im a noob here myself, from Glasgow, and just got my new rev 5 Tubby yesterday :D

U got any pics of ur car yet? Would be interested in seeing it before u start anything on it :thumleft:

Always wanted one but doubt it due to running costs, more eager just to get back in a 2 though, NA or Turbo!!

Yeah hoping to be on the road next year so tempted to rush and get hir done now but I don't want to miss somthing I will regret later on
