Hi,
I've sanded down my front bumper for paint, it's 99% perfect.
But on the front there was some filler which needs flattening, a bad job by the previous owner.
But this filler is made of steel or something, it literally won't sand. Anyone experienced this before?

You can get metallised body filler, but you should still be able to sand it.

Nope.
I was just wondering if anyone knew what it was. Might be useful to know.
It's at least 100 times harder than P38.
An electric sander might cut through it.
I guess I'll just go at it again this evening.

I am certainly tempted!

It could be epoxy repair resin mixed in with the likes of talk etc. I've made that mistake before, sometimes Araldite etc will set harder than rock if you combine the filler right. Otherwise it should sand off if you use plenty of water and soap as a lube.
