paul woods manual choke/tvis eaten my blanking cap
hi, I have the paul woods manual choke installed. the cap blocking the air inlet came out and I guess its gone inside the tvis. should I be worried? will it damage anything? even though I replaced the cap it doesnt idle up as high/low as it used to when the choke is on/off....could the loose cap be blocking something?

It won't cause any damage but it may be jammed in your Tvis rail, i always advise people to stick the blank in with a little Sikaflex. I've never had the cap come out on a kit i've personally fitted but i know it has happened to others, but it doesn't damage anything.

yeah previous one I glued in as your instruction.
dont laugh but while opening the throttle exit to have a look with a screw driver. I forget it was a screwdriver bit driver and the end fell off in there.

Oh i wouldn't let the screwdriver bit fall in there, that's metal and if it's big enough to get past a valve you'd be in trouble!

It might get jammed in the Tvis rail though mate, you need to fish that out or remove the plenum really.

thanks Paul, I'm going to see if I can fish it out with a magnetic rod tomorrow but there isn't much room. If not I'll remove it.
on a scale is it hard to do? I have the tools.

Removing the plenum is pretty easy for me, all depends what you're used to i suppose.

Re: paul woods manual choke/tvis eaten my blanking cap
I predict that the next questions will be:
"How do I fish a magnet out of the plenum?"
followed by "Will it do any damage if I leave it in there?"
(I know an old lady who swallowed a fly...)
