For this months meet we are going to do an activity. At the yearly meeting we discussed doing more activities this year rather than just sitting in a pub. So get your skates on......we are going ICE SKATING!!!
So......If you fancy yourself as a Torville and Dean this is the one for you!
Or maybe your more of a Todd Carty........LOL
Date: Mon 11th March
Price: £9.50 with skate hire however if there are 15 or more of us it will only be £7.50 each. People who are happy to come but don't want to skate can spectate for £2.
Time: I suggest meeting around 7.30 pm. The Ice Rink is open to us from 8pm till 10pm. The car park is a pay and display but it's only 50p I believe for 2 hours so it's cheap.
Location:
Silver Blades Ice Rink
Oakfield Road
Station Site
Altrincham
WA15 8EW
Monday Night is Eazy Skate:
This is the session for beginners and those who prefer to take it easy. Slower music, slower pace, plenty of time and space to perfect your skating skills.
Average capacity fill: 30%
There is a cafe on site that will be open but it's up to you whether you eat there or not I suspect most won't be. It might be an idea to have something to eat before you come out or stop for a Maccies or something on the way in or on the way home?
You don't need to worry you won't be getting Judged on your performance so you don't need to worry about the Judges comments, I imagine most of us won't be particularly good
If you have never been Ice Skating before but have been rollerblading then it's very similar so you should be OK.[/url]

Blimey, that's impressive, they are huge plates!
Do you tend to trip over them?
You'll have blades a foot long!

Re: NW March Meet - 11th March - Dancing On Ice
Why, are the blades going to be shorter than my feet?
I do trip over them sometimes and heel and toe is pretty much impossible...
I can walk on water though

My dealer (RRG Macc') is hoping to come in the TRD GT86 which they should get for the 8th March.

I'm really sorry, but I've got to work late on Monday now so won't get home till 8pm at the earliest. So no dancing on ice for me.
Sorry.

Re: NW March Meet - 11th March - Dancing On Ice
I know, I was looking forward to it. TRD is making an appearance as well. My problem is I have to do an assessment at 6pm in Newcastle on Monday. I won't get home before 8.30pm, so it would be a bit late.
We'll see.

Sounds like fun.
I got in at 9.10pm, too late to realistically come out. Sorry I missed it, but weeknights are always difficult for me.
