i should have my new wheels in about 3 weeks, i'm not sure but i dont think my 205/50/15 & 225/50/15 tyres will 'stretch' onto the 17" rims
so i'm going for 215/40/17's on the front & 245/35/17's on the back. the rims are 7x17 front & 8x17 back.
been thinking about getting goodyear eagle F1's alround but noticed the that falken 451's have the same kind of tread pattern but there alot cheaper.
anyone using these? how do they compare to F1's & proxes?
thanks
Steve

Re: falken 451's
I've got falkens on my tubby. I can't compare to the others as I've never had them, but I've found the falkens very good for the price.
Re: falken 451's
what they like in the wet mate?
all i've had on my tubby before are the 'bridgestone g' grid 2' tyres that it came from japland with, which are great but cant get them over here

Re: falken 451's
they're good in the wet....but I never push the tubby in the wet anyway.
Re: falken 451's
thanks mate, decisions....decisions
Re: falken 451's
i had them fitted for quite a wile , not a bad tyre for the price,,
Re: falken 451's
IMO best all rounder for the price - we used to race on these! I got 15,000km out of the rears and the fronts are still good - but thats with a tad more poke than standard

They will be a lot cheaper for a reason Steve.
You do pretty much get what you pay for when it comes to tyres.

Re: falken 451's
I'm running 451's in a 275 on the back of my Supra, they cope really well in the dry but wet weather handling is down a little on F1's and S0's - T1-S might be next on my shopping list, had the rears off yesterday and noticed they are almost slick again, 3000 miles after they were fitted

Re: falken 451's
When i bought my car it had falkens and my car was all over the placecoming out of roundabouts although they were pretty worn. I changed to toyo's and they are massively better and not much more expensive

Which Falkens?
451's still got them on the front
Re: falken 451's
I had those 451's on the fronto of my tubby (205/40/17) and they weren't very good at all with lots of understeer in the wet. Cheap, but as JC says, "so is cutting your arm off"
