Removing Tension Rods

Post by TRINDA1664 »

Hi

I have a pair of Tein Tension rods fitted to my car.

I want to give them a refurb, are the two bolts that connect them to the lower arm easy to undo or is there a certain way in which I need to do this?

Im only asking this as i was reading Toxo's polybush guide and he says they will just spin.

Whats the torque setting?

Thanks

Dan

They will only spin if the friction-weled bolts come loose. Happened to me about 3 times in 9 years, so you should be OK.

Does anyone know a torque setting for when i need to tighten them back up?

torque settings are as follows

more than hand tight
pinched up
tight for a std rachet
really tight
get a bar on the rachet tight
get the breaker bar out
really f*****g tight

always worked for me :thumleft:
