Apart from the wheels, I love the look of that car/kit!
Nice aggressive looking stance
Can you still get the inner arch panels in Germany? Mine is crying out for one

Re: Project MRX350
The inner arcs I´ve bought where the last set in stock in germany in that times. They was covered in dust and I´ve didn´t expected to get my hands on a new set and that is 10 years ago.
In 2011 I had a crash with my Celica ST185 and even therefore I couldn´t get a rear quarter panel as the car is to old as Toyota still have all parts for it n stock.

not keen on the front, but I would go for a standard car from front to the B pillar and then the wide rear quarters. I think that would be superb!

Would you mind starting a new thread with some more pictures?
Thanks

Re: Project MRX350
The car is coming on leaps and bounds now, a lot more work gone into the carbon rear blade and custom side pieces, this is almost ready for paint now, and the blade will get relaquered. This just looks so right on this car, it looks like a more aggressive version of the stock spoiler and i absolutely love it, can't wait for it to be painted now....
Of course custom work like this takes a long time to get right!

That looks awesome! Can't wait to see this thing in the flesh! I might have to book a holiday just to come and look... You could make alot of money from MR2 perv's Paul, charge a hobnob a look, and you'll have many hobnobs at the end.

I think you are going to need a carbon bootlid Paul

Re: Project MRX350
Sadly I can't go carbon on the boot lid, it now has steel upright supports for the blade spoiler which opens with the boot, and is welded on, you'll notice the "outriggers" are now attached to the quarter panels instead of the boot panel.
Carbon just won't support my new blade when slamming the lid shut.

Re: Project MRX350
It will. Carbon would be plenty strong enough!

Re: Project MRX350
What i mean is i can't attach the uprights to a carbon lid in the same way i have done on the steel version, the blade is almost seamless and looks part of the winglets, it would need some uglier brackets of some sort, i know carbon is very strong but i'm not sure if it would take the constant abuse after being drilled etc.

Re: Project MRX350
I've done a paintshop mock up of what i plan to do to the rear, i've got this exact AAS V6 silencer so the plan is to completely cut out a Styleauto rear vented section and have the full ar$e on display, i haven't mocked up the arches or spoiler on this pic....
Re: Project MRX350
perfect silencer to match the rear!

Yep, loving that.... I have cut out the same section on my rear bumper, just wish i had the same bling to fill it with that you will be doing.

Re: Project MRX350
Well i've had to change the thread title from Project MRX300 to MRX350, that's because instead of fitting the 1mz VVti engine i've decided to go 2gr-fe instead.
Currently Woodsport has built the only two 2gr-fe powered Mk1s in existence, with a third being built in Australia as we speak, so this will either be the 3rd or the 4th worldwide.
They are just plain crazy engines and have so much torque it's scary, i was never going to be 100% happy with a lesser powered V6 i suppose!
