rev3 turbo certainly had 195x55 fronts and rears were 225x50 on the stock 15's. I'm sure the n/a's were same sizes :-k

Don't you mean 225/50/15 on the back?

As said above standard for rev2's onward was 195/55/15 front and 225/50/15 rear.

Nice tyres. I run AD08s on mine. Yes, as has been confirmed in this, and many other threads. The standard tyre sizes are 195/55/15 on the front and 225/50/15 on the rear. However you will notice that you'll have a pretty damn hard time finding anything semi decent in 225/50/15. About the best you can get these days seems to be proxes. One option you have available (other than abandoning 15s altogether and buying new wheels) is to reduce the stagger, keep the standard front size and run 205/50/15s at the back. I personally find this is a great set up for handling as it makes the car feel more 'neutral' and far less understeery than it does with the 225s. It is an option, they will fit.

Fair enough, I've got toyos on the front and falkens on the back. Unless you do something very stupid they are perfect I can't see why nobody rates them :thumleft:

great i also have toyo's on the rear for everyday use, they are a great tire but a bit pricey due to the odd size but well worth it . i was thinking about putting yokohama prada spec 2 on the front :thumleft:

*shrugs* Meh, if you're happy with them that there's no reason not to stick with what you have. :thumleft:

sorry i should explain the yokohama A 048 will be used on tracks i.e the nurburgring on spare set off rear wheels, leaving the toyos for everyday use, also on the front are cheap rubbish and i was going to try the parada spec 2 any thoughts :)

No worries. You'd definitely want to lose the cheap rubbish on the fronts - it will completely change the feel of the car having good rubber on.

I've been meaning to try Paradas for a while but I haven't got around to it so I can't comment really, it's probably worth noting that I've not even seen them in 195/55/15, only 195/50/15 so they may be difficult to find unless you have a good source.

If you're only going to be changing the rears around I can't recommend AD08s enough for fast road/track use.

I run 205/50/15 on the front of mine, funnily enough that is what size was on the rear when I got it.

So,
Front: 205/50/15
Rear: 225/50/15

Seconded.
205/50/15 fronts and 225/50/15 rears is the 'best' or at least most neutral (and hence quickest) combo. Ideally on 7' rims all round so the fronts are a little stretched compared to the rears for a crisper turn in (add a 15mm spacer to the rears for that staggered effect). Best all weather tyre available in those sizes ... Toyo T1-R.
