I have to say, I am considering chucking another one in the boot. My other half has one for her convertible as well - we're already a two-Pingi household! 8)

Ok. Well, I'm gonna submit an early contender for wally of the year award. Turns out I had my heater set to re-circulation rather than to draw in air. Now that I've actually engaged the brain and turned that off, it's drier than Dakar.

Win.

Nothing like a thread revival!

Dug my Pingi out of the cupboard earlier, and chucked it in the microwave to dry it out...

Ooops.

Anyone happen to remember the rules for microwaving them without breaking everything?

Ahh shiz. That hasn't happened to me microwaving Pingi.

Incidentally recirc aircon - WTF is it for. I have never ever found a use for it?

Recirc aircon supercools the air, it's outstanding! Instead of taking warm summer air and cooling it, it keeps recircing the cold air from the cabin and just gets colder and colder. Keep the windows closed for full effect! It's good! Useless in winter i'd imagine.

It does that if your temperature slider is on the colder end of the scale... it does something different at the hotter end of the scale.

I sometimes use hot re-circ aircon in autumn/winter to demist a bit quicker than the hot non-recirc aircon. Once it has demisted remember to stop the re-circ otherwise the car will soon mist up again with AC-off even with the blower on.

If the re-circ is used for too long the air quality will become poor enough to start making people tired and sleepy.

Only other time I use re-circ is behind another vehicle that kicks out a lot of smoke when trying to give it the beans. Don't really want to breath that if I can avoid it.

Speaking of the recirc button, someone suggested putting it on when parking up to close the vents rather than allowing cold/wet air to enter when you're not using it.
Seems like a good idea, we shall see.
I'm also a member of the Pingi massive now. 250's in the frunk & boot, 2x450 in the cabin. Started the groundnut oil regimen today too.

Judging by the amount of cars i see misted up with the driver peeping out of a letterbox slot, i think there's quite a few other peeps with the recirc switch on!!!

Wow how did that microwave crack its plate?

With mime at first I would just bring it in overnight and leave it on the radiator but started putting it in the microwave. Suprising the amount of steam comes out. Last time I scorched the bag a bit from leaving it in too long.

Masculine? But the dot turns pink!

I got one of these on the weekend as I was in there anyway:

Seems to work well. Not had any misty windscreens this week, but then maybe the weather hasn't allowed for it? We'll see in the long run.
