I want some bass in my mr2, but now gone off the sub box idea as im too tall to use one. So i dont know what to use 6x9s in the cubby holes or std boxes?

I mounted one of these behind passenger seat, its not as full on as proper sub box but fills the gap nicely in the MR2

, really really good punchy bass, then changed my door speakers for a cheap set of coax and phased them to just be for the mid and hi , nice cheap solution

6x9s are designed to be fitted free air in the parcel shelf etc so want around a couple of cubic feet, but the cubby holes only have around 0.5 cu ft thats without the size of the speaker.
I picked up one of the Vibe optisound's for someone this week after the lads at vibe told me it was better than the space 8.

I gave it a trial and it is quite good :) I will see if it will fit under an mr2 seat over the weekend.

Problem is that there really isn't much room height wise underneath the seats, I've just had to raise the passenger seat 20mm to fit this under it - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hertz-he4.html

True. saying that I only mentioned it as a guy I know has one in his 2. Think it was an Alpine, must of been an extra slim one?
