This looks a great car for the money.
Just one question,which should assist any buyer in making their decision,any idea how much a recon gearbox might cost?

Recon I don't know.

Known good replacement boxes can be had for £300, and any of the known specialists charge around £200 for fitting.

Whilst doing the box I'd recomend replacing the front and rear engine mounts with poly items, they are £23 each and would add another hours labour to the box fitting costs.

If the box was crunch/notch free, I'd be looking for around £2700 with some room for negotation, hence the £1900 price
