Hi I'm Calum, new to the forum today after owning my MR2 since June last year. It's a 1990 3SGE import, just had it resprayed a nice bright red
I've finally gotten around to taking the rocker cover off as I want to powder coat it (plus I just wanted to have a look inside)
Noticed that my TB and intake mani are absolutely covered in black petrol/gunk stuff inside. I've already thoroughly cleaned the TB out with solvent - how do I go about flushing out the manifold?
Also, if somebody could point me in the right direction with all the new gaskets for intake and TB (inc. rocker cover) that would be a great help!
Thanks
Cleaning intake manifold - any tips?

Do not have it sand blasted as part of the prep. for powder coating.

Wash out with solvent. An air line can help.

I as well as other affiliates keep them in stock. PM me for details.

Cheers. PM'd

Intake manifold:
Autoglym engine De-greaser, a scrubbing/washing up brush and some elbow grease.
When dry, wire brush till nice and smooth.
Carb cleaner to remove any other grease prior to painting, then spray with caliper spray paint.
Comes up like new, and looks fantastic when painted.

Thanks mate! Already had it P/C'd red months ago, but for some reason it never occurred to me that washing it out beforehand might be a good idea
Oh well, I'll use some degreaser/solvent and a small washing up brush or similar - hopefully the powdercoating won't come off!

So where does combustion take place in your engine? In the throttle body?
