16" wheel picture requests
Hey all, Im looking at getting staggered 16" wheels that already come with 205/45 and 225/45 tyres. Does anyone else have this setup on their 2 with standard ride height? Just really want to know how it would look..
Re: 16" wheel picture requests
What width and offset are the wheels?

7j front and 8j rear. Offsets are unknown although they 'fit' on a mr2.
The reason why the offsets are unknown is because the only information was on a sticker inside the wheel but this has been lost in a recent refurb.

If you are unsure, don't buy! Only if it's a bargain!
Recently I bought a set of wheels here at IMOC.co.uk and the wheels were listed as staggered setup, perfect fit MR2, but came with no stickers.
At the end they have the same offset and widths, and no staggered setup.

Re: 16" wheel picture requests
There's nothing at all wrong with 16x7 and 16x6 with 205/45 and 225/45 tyres. One of the best setups for handling, and definitely one of the most common.
Not knowing the offsets is a pain but you can measure them with a ruler and some wit. If they're a good price and a wheel you like, don't write them off totally. Just work out the offsets if you can.
They do say SSR stands for Super Soft Rims though. Avoid dem potholes!

Re: 16" wheel picture requests
I've got these wheels in the exact set up you describe on my own car:
205/45/16 7j et 32 fronts
225/45/16 8j et 38 rears
Personally I think they look and fit great on the 2. They're forged wheels so not sure where the "super soft rims" reputation comes from. I've certainly not had any problems and I live in Southampton which has rubbish roads!
Pics below (though the car looks slightly different these days):

Thanks for the compliment
The car is lowered (sorry missed the bit in your original post about the car being standard ride height) but not by much. It just looks lower because of the side skirts.
Will be sure to give you first dibs if I ever decide to sell them (though I doubt that will be any time soon )

Is there a quick and easy way to measure offset? Only prob is I have to trust the competence of a complete stranger to measure it..which can be hard as there are some dodgey people out there.

All be it on Tein Superstreets heres a pic of mine wearing its 16's
Front 205/55/16 7J
Rear 225/55/16 8J
find the wall height looks ok and adds a little extra comfort, although the next set will most prob be 45's

2 looks sweet with the chunky tyres. I want to go for your size but in 50 profile as I think its the best for comfort without sacraficing much handling.

Running 5mm spacers front and rear too but only ever get contact if hitting speed bumps to hard, never get any issues otherwise. Love the ride and find it holds the road well and gives you lots of confidence
What wheels are you looking for?
