Re: Why would you do this?
the centre section of a rev1,2??? jesus! that's a shame that he could have at least glued on the side parts as well (rather than drill the quarters)
Re: Why would you do this?
Strange decision!

Re: Why would you do this?
Doesnt look great but then again it wouldnt take much to sort that out.
Rev 1 NA to Turbo conversion!
Re: Why would you do this?
For that price it's a bargain even without the REV 5 spoiler.

Well that's an interesting look.
I was mad for the rev 5 spoiler for ages. Now I have a genuine rev5 I'm not sure the spoiler suits the car that much...

Re: Why would you do this?
I prefer the look of the REV1/2 especially with the Autopista spoiler.
Re: Why would you do this?
Rev5 looks great for hard parking, chased one for years and found one...
It waggles around at 'motorway' speeds, (Yes, its genuine)
I still prefer the look over rev3 which is solid as a rock - really dislike three piece rev1.
But for this car - why would that be done, leads one to suspect that something untoward has happened to the car.
It may be something as simple as looks cool but waggly rev5 was pinched, but without explanation could mean car was massively ar$e ended.

Could have had a damaged boot, and just thrown a rev1/2 on there.

Sure I saw this car last year living on an air base in Anglesey!
Could have been another rev 5 sonic with half a rev 1 spoiler I guess?

+1
That's why i'm having a really hard time deciding whether to remove mine, weld up the rear quarters, and fit a TRD spoiler
decisions, decisions.......................

Re: Why would you do this?
rev 3 looks the best, although i do like the rev1/2 look with the spoiler on the rear quarters, very JDM looking
Re: Why would you do this?
Is this the price of rev5's now then? Seems like a nice cheap car to me, bargain in fact.
Has he actually drilled the quarters? Doesn't mention it and I couldn't see it in the pictures? If not it really shouldn't be an issue as rev5 spoilers come up for sale often enough.
Having had a rev5 spoiler I have to disagree with it being wobbly on the motorway. Perhaps the bolts for the center blade are loose?

Its just the centre of it that wobbles, but i'll take the end caps off anyway and have a look.

Re: Why would you do this?
Neither my carbon rev5 nor my genuine have wobbled. Good luck mate.
Ps, "hard parking"?

Hah, always wanted to see what it looked like without the 2 wings... and what it would look like with the wings left and spoiler removed.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Re: Why would you do this?
cheap car, I'd be looking for signs of rear damage...
Current: 2007 Porsche Cayman S
Gone: '94 rev3 NA, '92 rev2 Turbo forged, '07 Civic Type-R

Hard parking, more standing around looking at cars, mostly your own. More posing than driving.
