Best Carbotech Compound for Mr2

As part of my refurb of my brakes i'm replacing all of the disks with standard disks. However I'm currently deciding wether to get Carbs or just standard pads.

The car will be used for fast road use and hopefully a little track use next year.

When i go on the Carbotech website there are a myriad of different compounds to choose from.

I would like to know which one would be best for my current setup.

Also I have white wheels so preferably pads that produce the least amount of dust..

Full Polybush.
Coilovers.
White line ARB's

Fast Road / Occasional track: AX6 (also called Panther Plus)

Track / Race, occasional road: XP8

Track / Race only, powerful or heavy cars, slick or semi slick tyres: XP10

ALL versions are noisy and dusty.

Your best bet is either AX6 or XP8, I've run both and found them to be exceptional. The XP8's are supposed to be geared more to track use, and they do get a lot better as they get hotter- but I've never had issues braking from cold with them.

But....if you've got white wheels carbotechs will cause you issues- they are very dusty, and unless you clean it off regularly it will eat into your alloys...

I normally clean my car once a week anyway.. Hmmm lots to think about but ax6 seems like the best bet if I go carbotech.

Very dusty pads but always very good pads. If you're a clean freak and protect your wheels with products like Rimwax etc then you should be fine.

I think i'll have a seperate set of wheels for track days..
