Looks like he has thrown alot of cash at it! Thats my ideal spec throttlebodies, cams and coilovers. Dont like the seats or door cards though

i love the proper '80's looking seats, perhaps not the best evers seats for today but way retro cool
Kudos Lauren should go to my son (you'll remember him as a pre teen at club runs JAE etc.) now he's a twenty year old building a very cool MK2 Golf initial cost £700 spend so far 0ver £5K and climbing fast

The tartan interior looks very 'TR7'

Re: Perfect MR2?
I would happily call that car the perfect mk1 MR2.
Can't fault the styling and that is the exact route I would go (given the funds and know-how) with regards to tuning the 4A over some kind of engine transplant.
Having said that I'm sure we all have our own ideas or it would be boring! If it were mine it would wear skinnier tyres and that back-box would go up a few inches.

Re: Perfect MR2?
lose the stickers on the dash, the stick on rear view mirror and customise the steering wheel boss so its shorter then it'd be much better
Love the seats though.

Re: Perfect MR2?
I think the perfect Mr2 is very much a personal thing, what floats one mans boat won't float another. I love the interior in that car, but that's about it, the TB's on the 4a leave me cold, they sound nice but offer no impressive gains for the amount of money and setting up they take. I really don't see the point, if you're going to blow that much on engine mods i'd want it to shift afterwards.
I'm building my own "perfect Mr2" but again what i'm doing is not to everyones taste, it's all very subjective.
Nice car though

Re: Perfect MR2?
Like the split rims
Could do with some similar
Probably not the staggered rim widths though

Re: Perfect MR2?
Ha ha! You'll have better luck selling those rear lights if you describe them as supercharger lights Paul

They have circular lenses built into the brake light and ribs on the centre panel.
