cut a bit of card the size of the old engine lid and get a picture of a stock engine printed on it

I guess that's one option. Unfortunately I won't have the resources to print it in time though. Otherwise I definitely would, honest

She's gone to a good home then?
How's business going? Will we see you at JAE at all?
Hey Phil,
Yes mate gone to a very good home.
I have done a few jobs and have a few more to do. All word of mouth as I'm not fully set up yet. Waiting for logo to be finished as its the key to everything else!
Sorry mate totally forgot about jae. How did it go? Looked into a feature yet?

JAE was awesome! Really glad we went and will definitely be there next year. The car did pretty well
Been meaning to give you a shout to catch up and ask about the spare paint you had

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Here's a few photos of our maiden trip to JAE last weekend. We both had a great time, saw some awesome cars, met some great people, lots of car talk and glorious weather.
Due to the logistics of Adrienne might have been leaving work we decided to take two cars and spilt the load between the Mule and my 'Support car'
We met up with Craig (RedMR²) and Steve Horrocks (the Civic Type R), so we could drive down in convoy. Took a few photos which have the new "Dead Fly" filter applied to them
We arrived at an already pretty busy Wicksteed Park
Random photos, in no particular order. Mostly taken by Adrienne, as I was too busy nattering
The only sticker allowed on the car!
The highlight of my weekend was winning this
Great weekend, great group and a pleasure to be part of the IMOC community

Great pics Phil, didn't realize you had some "On the road shots!"
Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Nice pics, I wish I'd gone... there's always next year though!
How do you see anything out of those mirrors?! the actual lens is tiny.

Oh yes. For Le Mans I'll be rocking a GoPro HD, so we can get it attached to some artistic places for some action video

You should. It would be good to have yourself and Karl there, with your V6 weapons
They're not the best to be honest, especially when you factor in the engine cover too. I've got a potential solution in the pipeline though, as a future project.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Time to finish another of those jobs I didn't get time (or have the materials) to finish before JAE. In the form of heat wrapping the intake pipework, to keep those intake temps nice and low, ready for a trip to see Ryan.
First off I had to wrap each pipe with DEI heat wrap, clamped together with metal ties.
Next up was to wrap that with Nimbus G11. Not satisfied with just having sheets wrapping the straight parts, I decided to fabricate pieces to cover the bends. This made the job hugely more complicated, frustrating and time consuming. It also meant the total fab time was somewhere around 5 hours! But if a job's worth doing and all that, as I didn't want any of the DEI showing, giving total protection
Test fit. The last of the blue vac hoses goes tomorrow too.
The other one, before I flattened all the edges and joins
This end piece was a nightmare to get perfect! As it has to negotiate the various connectors and mate perfectly to the hose on the turbo outlet
Done. Pretty pleased with the results
Time to try and make some progress with the wire tuck. Oh, there's a little interior work on the horizon too

Had it for a long time, so I'm probably a carrier. Check you cupboards every day for the next seven days and if one day you find everything's perfectly lined up and in a logical order, I'm afraid you might have fallen victim too

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Met up with Garry (Kitch) and his stunning white tubby. We were both curious to see how the two cars would look next to each other, as on paper they should be very similar cars (Border bodykit, white, gold wheels etc). The reality was quite different.
Love those wheels!
