What have you done with your frunk??

Post by KarlBristol »

My spare tyre is probably going to be ripped out of the car along with a few other bits and bobs as tyre weld will probably do a better job and save weight

I know other people have done this...

What have you done with your frunks?
After some interesting ideas ideally non ICE based :-k
Selling up my highly modified and restored Rev 1 V6 3.0 1MZ-FE VVTi

A lot of people who track their mr2 keep the spare tyre in the frunk. Removing it can mess up the weight distribution and cause understeer. Don't know how much truth there is in that but I'd replace it with something just as heavy to keep some weight over the front wheels.

Fridge full of beer perhaps? You never know when you could get stranded! 8)

Beer. You'd be surprised how cool it gets under there.

I keep my spare wheel in there, i'd rather have a spare than a can of tyre weld for peace of mind, if you damage the sidewall then your tyre weld won't do anything.

Mine gets roasting, especially the panel directly behind the rad.

Stick some nice carpet down, fit an opening light, and use it as a 911 style boot for Tesco carpark kudos.

Fit a thermoelectric fridge.

Fill it with 2L bottles of water, remove them one by one & experiment with weight distribution and its effect on handling.

Carpet would be silly. Is that area waterproofed?
