What are the 3 black fuses in the drivers footwell for?
I still can't get my new cd player to work and I have checked all the fuses that have numbers on them (7.5, 10 and 20) but there are 3 black fuses in the drivers footwell are they anything to with the cd player wiring or speakers?

You only need the "Radio & Cig" fuse, and the "Dome" fuse.
Have you got volts passing through both those fuses?

I'm getting power to the cd player and the aerials goes up when it should, would that prove the fuses were ok?
Which is the dome fuse? I have check the 10 amp fuse that does the radio and cig lighter for continuity and it's fine.

It also does your interior lights, so easy to tell if working or not.

Yes interior lights are working I have done a wiring diagram to explain where all wire goes;
The labelling of the wires is for where they go into this connector;

OK, so are using an ISO adaptor?
Re: What are the 3 black fuses in the drivers footwell for?
I am using this adaptor that came with the radio;
And this adaptor I bought;
I have this spare connector coming from the adaptor that came with the radio there is nowhere to connect ATM but in the instruction it says it should go to all 4 speakers?

The problem is whatever I do to the 4 RCA's leads I only ever get a whisper quiet noise out of the front speakers nothing ever out of the amp or back speakers even when I put the 2 rear RCA's leads in still nothing from the back but a whisper from the fronts when the radio is turned to max.

Right, you're using all the correct adaptors. I've never had a problem with the adaptors, so I'd guess you have an output problem.
Have you checked all the menu settings in the head unit? Is you're amp definitely switching on with the head unit?

Re: What are the 3 black fuses in the drivers footwell for?
I have changed it from subout to rearout and back and it makes no difference still a little bit of sound from front nothing from the back.
The radio aerial goes up which I've read has the same feed as the amp but that's all I know?
There is some noise from the speakers and amp sounds like an untuned radio if that makes sense? But only if you put your head next to them.

Just noticed if I take the earth wire off the radio it doesn't work. So the speakers and amp aren't working so where is the earth for the speakers and amp? I could try a new earth and see if that makes a difference?

Speakers are not earthed. They have just the two signal wires.
Should the amp have a separate chassis earth? Some do, some don't. Have you checked the manual?

2 signal wires? It has 1 for each speaker doesn't it? The amps are original as far as I know. I can't figure out how to get into them have removed the cover then it's just a big black plastic box under there?

Re: What are the 3 black fuses in the drivers footwell for?
I have finally sorted the problem. When I wired in the new switched live from the cigarette lighter instead of teeing into the switched live on the iso adaptor I plugged the new wire into the switched live on the cd player which made the radio turn on but didn't put any power to the amps.
