On my old rev1 I removed it as it was terrible!
It used to come in when it was no where near locking up, and like others have said anytime going over a slight bump etc it used to do the same.
Apparently on the later revs it was better, but I've never had abs on a rev3.
Who's removed there abs?

It was a few years ago now, but iirc I just removed the main fuse for it under the bonnet, iirc!
Eventually I ripped it all out and swapped the distribution block for the non abs unit.

Re: Who's removed there abs?
According to a letter recently in PPC magazine its only 2001 onwards cars that have to have ABS if fitted when new. Older cars can have it removed but not disabled i.e. if the pump etc is gone then its removed.
They also point out that most ABS equiped cars use the ABS instead of a rear bias so removing the ABS will require you to set the rear bias. Not a problem on the MR2 as I guess you would use non ABS stuff but some cars dont have a non ABS option.
Dont know where they got their info but it was relating to the new MOT rules imposed this year.
