[Mk2] [Generic] Before and after

Post by MRV6 »

I've been after a set of gram lights 57 pros for many moons. I managed to track down a set at the back end of last year. My intention was to remove the lacquer, get the lip re-polished and keep the spokes gold. After several coats of nitromos, well nine. The lacquer would not budge, so I decided to take it to a local wheel re-furbishers. We had a con flab and I decided to go for a chrome powder coat. I originally wanted to go for the chrome lip and either bronze or gold spokes but when I saw the finished chrome article I was well impressed and decided to keep them as they are.

Fronts 18 x 8 30 et, rears 18 x 9 35 et.

I'm good mate but I did have some dark days where I thought about selling the old girl. Luckily I have gave myself a good slap and have seen the light. Just need a gearbox replacing!

It's a chrome powder coat. Depending on what you want and wheel size, mine were £50 a wheel. Very happy with the results.

No not selling, well not at the moment mate.

If I get my new gearbox in and I can sort my shifs out at work. Hopefully I will be able to get down.

Takes a bit getting used to. I had the TE37's on for about 7 years.
