Lowering Buisness
Ok, I have just bought some 17" alloys but i want to lower my MR2 aswell. Can anyone recommend a nice amount to lower it by with the 17's fitted

Mine is lowered 35mm on 17's, looks pretty oem which is what I like.

The thing is, I want 17's with the tyre tucked just inside the arch. Nice car btw

Coilovers, on there lowest setting should do the trick ......
I still need to get the front a tad lower. . The rears just need pushing out another 5mm ....
but I'm still very happy with how this looks on 17's .

Cusco coilovers, Blitz type 03 wheels...

I wouldn't go too low if you value the handling and ride quality as it can get very crashy over potholes. I'd go for around 20-30mm drop, the Eibach Pro spring kit would be my choice.

To be honest i can withstand quite a bit of an uncomfortable ride lol. Im going for more of a stance then comfort modding.

Mine is currently on Tein S-Tech springs & Bilstein dampers, but these will be getting swapped soon for a set of Eibach Pro Springs to raise the ride height by 10mm and give a little more suspension travel. On a decent road it is very well planted and the handling is suberb but over poor road surfaces it does rattle your eyeballs
